Do you know what kind of fairy tale is really sweet? The kind in the upcoming Enchanting Confections series – a collection of clean and cozy fairy tales guaranteed to delight your sweet tooth!
This series is full of warm fuzzies, sweet, no-spice romance, and treats that will make you hungry as you read! There will even be a recipe from the author in each book!
This series will kick off on May 8th, and each week, a new author will release a brand-new sweet fairy tale novella! Today, however, we’re tickling your taste buds by giving you a little sneak peek at this fun series!
And speaking of treats, here’s one of my tried and true favorites! I came up with it in high school, and while I’m pretty sure it was originally from Nestle, I’ve added to it and moved things around until it’s exactly the way I like it.
Which makes it all the more heartbreaking that I now have to bake these durn things without eating them. (Gluten and I are not friends. And do you know how HARD it is to bake cherry chocolate chip cookies and NOT EVEN TASTE THEM?!)
*ahem*
I’m not bitter at all.
And neither are these cookies. Here you go!

A Cupful of Tadpoles and Red Velvet Cake: A Beauty and the Beast Retelling
It’s so hard to pick a favorite fairy tale!
I went with Beauty and the Beast but could have picked Six Swans/Wild Swans as well although I do really like the Frog Prince and it sounds like it would go really well with this title!
Happy to Tell a Fairy Tale Day!
A splash of starlings and gingerbread men: a Robin Hood retelling.
This will be soo cool 😂
A serving of possums and raspberry tarts. Uuuh, I’ll skip the possums, thanks!
But those cookies sound amazing! Thanks for the recipe!
A Cupful of Anteaters and Red Velvet Cake: a Twelve Dancing Princesses Retelling. Well, that should be interesting!
Anyone want to read… A Speck of Platypuses and Strudel: a Snow White adaptation ?😆
A Speck of Squirrels and Carrot Cake: a Snow White and Rose Red retelling. I actually thought my Dad’s favorite fairytale went best!
A Cupful of Starlings and Carrot Cake: A Peter Pan retelling.
A Fistful of Starlings and Snickerdoodles
A swirl on King Thrushbeard
Confession: I don’t like snickerdoodles. 🙈 I do like the alliteration of this title, though. And starlings fits nicely with the bird theme.
“a Tablespoon of Pandas and Snickerdoodles; a Sleeping Beauty story”
A Blend of Platypuses and Pound Cake: A Reimagining of Puss in Boots (November is not actually my favorite month, but it went well with platypuses 🙂
A Teaspoon of Possums and Red Velvet Cake: A Beauty and the Beast Retelling
A slice of raccoons and raspberry tarts. Sounds interesting
A drop of sugar gliders and snickerdoodles. I can’t wait for this series!
A Splash of Chinchillas and Red Velvet Cake: a Swan Lake retelling.
A Tricle of squirrel and Gingerbread Men, a King Thrushbeard Tale.
A Blend of Pandas and Raspberry Tarts: A King Thrushbeard Retelling
A Shake of Sugar Gliders and Gingerbread Men: A Cinderella Retelling
A Blend of Platypuses and Sugar Cookies: An East of the Sun, West of the Moon retelling.
Evidently he’s a giant platypus instead of a bear…I would read that😁
A shake of Crickets and chocolate fudge: Little Red Riding Hood.
