Hello friends, welcome to my page!
While I’m relatively new to being an author, this year is my tenth year writing novels! I discovered my love of writing as a freshman in high school – which is somehow ten years ago – when I wrote a Barbie Princess Charm School meets The Princess Diaries-esque novella that I still think I might publish someday. In May, I published my first novel, From Between the Realms, and have many more on the way.
When I’m not writing, you can often find me watching sports with my friends and family (right now, the Olympics has a choke-hold on me) and a variety of granny hobbies (crochet, cross stitch, read, etc.).
Back to books, though; I can guarantee you that my novels are free from cuss words (though there are in-world cuss words), low-violence, and closed-door. I strive to write characters so achingly in love with each other and slow burns so slow that it leaves you begging me to let them kiss finally.
Fairytale Find
As a young girl, I was gifted an American Girl activity book by my grandparents full of crossword puzzles, word finds, and other fun that only required a pencil (aptly titled The American Girls’ Pencil Play 2, according to a quick Google search). I was always particularly fond of wordfinds due to their wide variety in subjects and simple means of solving, so I thought I would make one for you! Hidden in this puzzle are the six different fairytales I incorporated into From Between the Realms as well as other key words from the stories!
From Between the Realms
Speaking of From Between the Realms as part of Fairytale February, the ebook is free, yes you read that right, free!
A four-volume collection of interconnected fairytale retellings chronicling one family’s fight for love, freedom, and happiness.
Bree Duless has lived her whole life trying to contribute to her family in a meaningful way while accommodating a strange ailment that renders her unable to be in the sun.
Prince Kingsley wants nothing more than his overbearing and strict Father’s approval, but it seems that nothing he does will ever be good enough.
Princess Violet stands moments away from her future and all the uncertainty that comes with it…including Grandfather Maximus and his plans.
Everett Paxton has spent his entire life in the shadows, always being the princess’ best friend. Her protector. Never her suitor, and especially not when her Fae-hating Grandfather is around.
Rosabella Avington has a secret: her uncuttable hair glows when she tells stories…but she also has a secret that not even she knows yet.
Prince Ashton wants nothing more than to find his sisters. They’ve been missing for too long and he will stop at nothing to find them – that is, until he meets a certain story-telling Fae.
When all their lives become irreversibly woven together, impossible choices must be made as they learn what truly matters in life.
This novel came from a special place in my heart. I had reached the point in my degree where we had to choose a capstone project we wanted to complete and my professor said we could pick anything – even writing a book. My heart leapt at the idea, even though my mind said no – writing a novel while juggling classes would not be a good idea – but I didn’t want to do anything else.
As I was thinking about what I would write if I chose to pursue a novel, I remembered an assignment from sixth grade. We were told to “fracture” a fairytale, and I remember loving not just writing it but reading everyone else’s too, and that’s when it hit me: I would write a collection of fractured fairytales all mixed up with each other
Gown Selector
Can I tell you a secret? Well, it’s not that much of a secret, but I love ball gowns…and really just clothes in general, so any time I get to write about gowns or skirts or any other pretty things, I have the most delightful time. In light of this admission, I thought it would be fitting for our next activity to have to do with some of the fabulous gowns my heroines wear. Select a bodice, a skirt, and an accessory and share your choices in the comments!
Character Art
Speaking of pretty things, I have a trio of character art pieces for you! Join Gray and Bree on a moonlit stroll, Everett and Violet as they share a tender moment, and explore the royal library with Ashton and Rosabella.
Crossing Tales
A few weeks ago, I wanted something cozy to watch. Low stakes, familiar characters, something to warm me up from the cold snap that had hit. Aimlessly, I scrolled through classic Disney movies over and over, looking for something to meet my needs…eventually, I settled on The Little Mermaid. Warm ocean setting to take me far from my Minnesota winter, bright music, and lovable characters…yet as the ocean filled my iPad screen, a thought tickled at the back of my mind: “What if Ariel was a land princess and Eric was a merman hopelessly in love with her?” Of course, I knew I had to write this story, but I also knew it had to be mixed with another tale – as I typically do. If you need to know what fairytales will be coming next, use the clues to solve the crossword below!
Top Secret Missive
I must admit, I’m still in the drafting process for the second book in the From Between the Realms universe, but this secret missive is to tell you what I do know for certain:
It’s a companion novel of sorts, which means some of my (and your) favorite side characters get to have their stories told too.
Find out how Zeek woos Everett’s mother, watch Prince Alexandrite face his prejudices and attitude issues to earn his place on the Jewel throne, and find out just how the wicked King Maximus became so wicked. It also incorporates the tales in the crossword above, all mashed up like in the first book. I can also promise there will be many cameos from favorite characters in the original tale too!
Before you go, I want to thank you so much for spending some time with me today! Please know that our friendship doesn’t have to end here, you can always find me on social media and feel free to say hi over there!

C 2 and 3 would be perfect. It reminds me of a twist on Snow Whites outfit. Instead of pale yellow for skirt it is bold yellow top. Instead of blue top it is pale purple
I meant C 2 and C the ring oops
I chose the purples and tiara: B2b
B, 1, and 6.
C2b. *sigh* It would be like a daffodil fairy Princess.
A2c for me! Thank you for the free book and also the puzzles. I love word puzzles. Your character art is beautiful.
B, 1 and b
I would pick a across the board! I love a Cinderella-like dress!
