Before Beauty (Classical Kingdoms Collection Book #1)
A Clean Fantasy Fairy Tale Retelling of Beauty and the Beast
Can the accursed prince and broken beauty move beyond their hatred for one another, not only to break the curse and save their kingdom…but to find love as well?
Prince Everard’s father forged him into a warrior. Upon the king’s death, however, Everard loses himself in his pain and brings a dark curse upon himself and the great Fortress that has long guarded the people of Destin.
The prince’s sin doesn’t solely affect those of his citadel, however. Isabelle, the daughter of a local merchant, has suffered the prince’s hasty temper before, and it changed her life forever. So when Everard’s curse cuts off his people’s source of protection, and he demands that she, a crippled commoner, help him break it, her shock and horror are rivaled only by her indignation and even stronger desire to protect her family.
All the while, Destin’s enemy crouches at the foot of the Fortress’s mountain, waiting for the right moment to capture the stronghold that has stood for a thousand years.
Can Everard and Isabelle move past their brokenness to save Destin together? Or will they and their beloved kingdom remain under darkness forever?
If you want the magic of Narnia and the romance of fairy tales, read this clean fantasy retelling of Beauty and the Beast today to escape into the Becoming Beauty Trilogy, as well as the Classical Kingdoms Collection, a series of fairy tale retellings with magical mystery, clean, passionate romance, and heroic happily-ever-afters.
Author’s Note: Before Beauty is an introduction to both series, but it can be read as a stand-alone as well.
The White Slipper (The Nevertold Fairy Tales Book #1)
A Clean Fantasy Fairy Tale Novella Retelling of The White Slipper
What can a poor apothecary offer the princess who has it all?
Princess River is the envy of all her peers, for her doting father has always promised her she could marry for love. But when he loses the healing slipper that prevents his ghastly foot injury from killing him, he makes a horrifying edict. The man who makes him an identical slipper and saves his life shall have River’s hand in marriage.
To River’s chagrin, such a man, poor and unknown, does come forward, claiming he’s found the secret cure. But River, discontent to helplessly hand over her future and her kingdom, seeks to learn about his past. To her surprise, however, her search reveals far more than she ever expected.
This mysterious young man may not only hold the true secret to helping her father…but he might be the one who claimed her heart long ago.
Delve into these standalone fairy tale retelling novellas of lesser-known tales as told by Wendy and Peter Pan. The Nevertold fairy tales are not set in the same world as the Classical Kingdoms Collection, but they have the same clean romance, magical mystery, and heroic happily-ever-afters.
My Little Rock Airman (My Air Force Fairy Tale Book #1)
A Clean Contemporary Fairy Tale-Inspired Romance
Jessie has one rule: No dating airmen. Unfortunately, Derrick Allen doesn’t seem to care.
But what does it matter? Prince Charming had a horse, not a cargo plane.
Jessie:
Jessie Nickleby has a plan. Teach kindergarten and save up for a master’s degree. It’s a surefire way to make sure she can take care of her parents if her mother’s cancer returns. But plans can be derailed, and when teaching in a military town, Rule #1 is absolutely crucial to making sure her plan stays on track.
Don’t. Date. The airmen.
Unfortunately, Jessie’s plan to stay clear of single airmen is doomed the moment she accepts a summer tutoring job for one of her students, Jade. Because Jade, sweet girl that she is, comes with an obnoxious (and annoyingly handsome) older brother who would rather take care of his sister himself. Tricks and shenanigans ensue as Jessie and her new nemesis, Derrick, battle over who’s best fit to care for Jade. To Jessie’s horror, however, the longer she spends around Jade and her brother, the more she realizes she cares for all of Jade’s family.
Even the airman.
But dating an airman means risking her plan, and Jessie must choose what she wants most: Her perfect plan? Or the man in uniform who’s stolen her heart?
Derrick:
Having a little sister with Down Syndrome has changed the way Derrick sees the world, and after nearly losing her, he’s determined to do anything he can to make sure she’s safe. Even pulling every Air Force string he knew to get transferred back to his hometown of Little Rock, Arkansas. Unfortunately, his parents aren’t convinced he’s ready to handle a full-time night shift and watch Jade during the day over her summer break, so, against his wishes, they’ve brought in her teacher to help.
And though Derrick is loathe to admit it, Jessie Nickleby proves to be quite capable. She’s also intelligent, snarky, and dangerously attractive (especially when she’s mad). Which means, of course, that tormenting her quickly becomes one of his favorite pastimes. Anything to prove to his mother that he can care for Jade better than anyone. But somewhere along the way, the enemy becomes the ally, and Derrick realizes that he couldn’t have a better woman at his side than the one he’s been trying to drive away.
There is, of course, the problem of her personal rule about not dating airmen. But Derrick’s doesn’t care. Some rules are made to be broken.
And this one is his.
